Seven children were coached to recite the seven “I ams” in John’s Gospel.
Ten year old Hilary was assigned John 8:12 where Jesus said,
I am the light of the world.
On the night when church members came to watch their kids perform, Hilary became nervous and forgot his text.
His Mother tried her best to prompt him and jolt his memory.
In desperation, she tried to form words with her mouth and gestured with her hands.
It did not work.
So she came on stage and whispered
I am the light of the world.
into his right ear.
“Got it!” Hilary exclaimed.
“My Mother said she is the light of the world.”
