The Methodists, the Baptists and the Presbyterian

During spring, the Methodists and Baptists enthusiastically agreed to have a joint evangelistic outreach.

The Presbyterians reluctantly joined in.

After the campaign, the pastors of these three pastors got together to discuss the results.

The Methodist minister said, “We gained six new members.”

The Baptist pastor reported, “And we did even better. Eight adopted the Baptist faith.”

They both asked the Presbyterian how he did.

He replied, “We did the best of all.

We didn’t add any but we got rid of fourteen.”
