A Word from Goldie April. 2017 Issue – 28
We are very encouraged to note that the article in our March #27 issue From Maid to Missionary has been visited by about 2,600 hits to date. Jane Bibal’s employers Timothy and Daphne Teo continue to mentor their domestic helpers. Their present helper Jodel started working for them in Nov. 2015. She joined their church, accepted Christ and was baptized in Oct. 2016. We publish another example of a caring boss who considered her helper as one of the family, caring not only for her spiritual well-being but also her physical needs. Read Penny’s account: All in the Family. We hope more employers will be concerned with their employees’ welfare.

A former Muslim Nabeel Quereshi said, “The Quran asserts that the Torah and the Gospel are inspired scripture and that Jews and Christians are people of the Book. The Quran tells Muslims to say, “our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender” (29.46). If the Quran asserts that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians, does that not settle the matter? For years I thought it did….”
What does Nabeel Quereshi think now? Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? He leaves us in no doubt as to the answer.
A young couple in Singapore decided to use their important day, their wedding when all their relatives and friends would be present, to share their faith with them. They creatively and tastefully turned their wedding into an evangelistic meeting. We hope that many more young people will use their ideas on How to Use Your Wedding to Preach the Gospel to make their happy day not only memorable, meaningful but also spiritually edifying.
