Issue – 15

Dear Friends,

I am writing this after the Easter service at Zion Praise Harvest where Ps Patrick Chen reminded us to mourn with Jesus who suffered on Good Friday in the Garden of Gethsemane. Without mourning for our sins which put Him on the cross we may tend to jump too quickly to rejoicing at the empty tomb and seeing the risen Christ. There needs to be repentance and grieving before rejoicing. Then as His instruction to Mary Magdalene was “go and tell…” we are to do likewise. 

The Good News is too good to keep to ourselves, not only at Easter but all year round. Let these articles be reminders of Jesus’ sacrifice: Jesus died, Jesus Rose, Jesus will come again, Bunny, Eggs or Cross, It’s About the Cross and Gethsemane.

Our Family theme focuses on two articles:

Willian Ho is Tek’s course mate in Hongkong University medical school. After graduation they lost touch. From the grapevine we heard that William has produced a couple of geniuses (kids going to university at the unearthly age of 10). Two years ago he turned up in Perth. What is more wonderful was meeting his wife Esther a Ph.D. biologist and Hongkong high school friend of Goldie’s. Read how they keep geniuses normal in Raising Four Unusual Children.

We have known Suzen’s mother Lay Hua since her teens (A Meeting with ‘Dear Goldie’). We have kept in touch with their family and have personally joined their regular family gathering while staying with them in Kuala Lumpur. Suzen testifies how this has impacted her in Ohana means Family.

The family is the basic building block in society, starting with Adam and Eve and their children. It is not surprising Satan who always destroys God’s designs is relentlessly attacking it with the same sex marriage issue.
