“Speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people……” Ez 33:1-6
Today as in the time of Ezekiel, God is calling for watchmen again. There is the clear sign that a “sword is coming” and we are called to blow the trumpet of warning.
The LGBT (Lesbian gay bisexual transgender) activists are aggressively carrying out a systematic onslaught on our society. Many seem not to heed the call. Indeed some are not seeing the threatening ‘Sword’. We hear of Christians believing the same sex marriage activists are merely fighting for the rights and fairness for the small minority of the ‘unfortunate people who want a different lifestyle’. So in the name of fairness we agree with them. However reports from different corners of the world are appearing that paint a very different picture. Most of these reports are not reported in the general mass media.
We have to conclude that the same sex marriage lobbyists have a much greater objective.
We see there is a large scale social reengineering behind their arguments.
They have placed in many Australian school libraries books aggressively promoting homosexual activities.
In the State of Massachusetts US the wedding industry is required to serve the homosexual community if requested. Wedding photographers, halls & caterers must do same sex marriages or be arrested for discrimination.
The Student Union of University of Sydney is threatening to de-register the Catholic Club because the Club constitution stated that the Executive members should be professed Catholics
What then should we do?
Heed the call to be a Watchman and blow the warning trumpet. Be familiar with the facts, alert your family, fellow Christians, church members, prayer partners, etc. Here we introduce a few up-to-date articles reflecting these contemporary trends:
Dr Lachlan Dungey voices his concern over certain issues facing Australia today. He clarifies certain implications of same sex marriage. The LGBT (lesbian gay bisexual transgender) lobby is aggressively pushing its agenda through different channels, e.g. the Safe Schools Program. What can we do to counter these attacks besides using our spiritual weapon of prayer against the principalities? Be informed, make a choice at the ballot box, understand what “preferencing” is, make your voice heard in the plebiscite, pass information to your circle of influence, etc. Be awake and alert to make the right choices.
Another attack by the homosexual lobby is, besides the well known case of the catholic church being sued for advocating in their catholic schools that marriage is between a man and a woman, now the Sydney University Evangelical Union has been given an ultimatum to remove a tenet of their Christian constitution.
A little known study by Mark Regnerus has revealed that adult children of same sex parents fare worse in many areas as compared to normal parents.
It has attracted much criticism but other experts have also voiced support of the methods used in the research.
“Social Scientists Defend Mark Regnerus’ Controversial Study on Same-Sex Parenting” Dr. Mark Regnerus has attracted a lot of criticisms from the same sex marriage activists but Christianity Today published a public statement by a group of 18 professors to defend Dr. Mark Regnerus accuracy in his paper.
