A Word from Goldie  August 2017 Issue – 32

We were in London having a family reunion in the month of August when just before we were to return to Perth we got the sad news of two precious people who were called home by the Lord. One was older, having suffered ill health for many years and the other a young mother in the prime of life. We remember their well-lived lives in Till We Meet Again. On the same theme Tek declared I Don’t Like Funerals, citing examples of some bad and some good memories. In our grief, we are comforted with the glorious promise of Jesus Christ that death is the entrance to life with Him and our Christian loved ones in eternity. Billy Graham in his book Nearing Home explains how to appropriate this assurance for ourselves. How important it is that we must share the Good News with all who we care about.

Family reunions are precious. Goldie’s family gathered in London with three generations comprising 39 persons who came from UK, Australia, Switzerland and Canada.

We will write about this memorable event in another issue. Our good friend Chua Wee Hian also had his family reunion of three generations about the same time.

When we caught up with them in their home in London, we heard about their glorious experience, An Unforgettable Adventure of cruising to Alaska.

They also shared about some interesting books they are reading and Tek immediately bought them on Amazon. Some of the noteworthy quotes are in this month’s Notes & Quotes.

The LGBT issue is hotting up in Australia. We are re-printing an article about who is behind the attack against Christians in Pray for this Man as Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. Churches, speak up NOW! is a warning for Christians to make their biblical view count or face the consequences of what is happening in UK, France, etc.

The Real Purpose of the same sex battle is not only about same sex marriage. Our opponents’ ultimate, goal is the destruction of marriage.
